Nicholas Bokulich is Professor of Food Systems Biotechnology at the ETH Zürich Institute of Food, Nutrition, and Health. Dr. Bokulich's research mission is to explore the myriad roles of microbial symbionts in food systems and human health, and to democratize the study of complex microbial communities by crafting open-source software and digital resources that make bioinformatics tools and data more accessible to the research community, including the popular QIIME 2 software platform for microbiome multi-omics. His work has been highly influential in the field, and highly cited (H-index=35, i10=50, >13k citations).
